Update 28th March 2023: Steve has so far raised an amazing £405 for Dementia UK, and has now fully completed his walking target before the end of March. Well done Steve and Pooches, the Team are very proud of you all!
Service Manager Steve is currently challenging himself to walk 200k in March with his pups Stanley and Bronte to raise funds for Dementia UK.
Steve said:
Myself, Stanley and Bronte’s challenge is to walk 200 Kilometres throughout March for Dementia UK, although the Dementia UK dog walk challenge is 100 Kilometres we want to take a few further steps.
We will be completing the challenge to raise awareness about Dementia, and hopefully with your help raise funds for Dementia UK.
Our planned walks will take us across varied UK locations, from Yorkshire, East Sussex, Somerset, and Cornwall, and bits in-between.
I will also give regular updates on the JustGiving page.
Doing this challenge with my two best furry friends for such a good cause will be so special, as will knowing it will have a positive impact on people’s lives from your kind donations.
Dementia is an illness impacts everyone in some way. With approximately 900,000 people living with dementia in the UK and an estimated 209,600 people who will develop Dementia in a year (alzheimers.org.uk) it is an illness that will touch all families, so please help make a positive difference to people’s lives living with Dementia by donating, even just a little, to our cause.
