Join Waythrough Kirklees Employment Services New group, Stroll and Snap to Wellbeing, to improve your wellbeing, show your creative side while out and about, being more active and connecting to the world. With warmer weather just around the corner, it’s the ideal time to
ditch the winter clothing and the heated car. Embrace Spring by walking to the local shops, go for a stroll around a park, visit a friend or family member, or even soak in the sunshine in your garden to inspire your creative side through photography using your smartphone, creative writing, whether in poetry or a few lines in story form of what you saw and felt on you trip, and artwork while you’re out and about on your walk/stroll if you love to draw.
The added bonus of being a little more active is the release the feel-good chemicals in the brain, such as Endorphins and Serotonins, which are the body’s natural anti-depressant and stress reliever!
Share your creative images, writing and artwork of nature and your surroundings with other members in the monthly in-person social group, over a cuppa and biscuit, to support building connections, confidence and supporting your wellbeing in a very relaxed, informal and welcoming environment.
Also, there is the opportunity for your creative piece to be published in Your Voice in Kirklees Magazine which sent all over the Kirklees area and also reached other countries!
The group meets in-person the last Tuesday of each month starting from 28th Apri l2026
Time: 1:00pm – 2:30pm
Location: The Media Centre, 7 Northumberland Street, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, HD1 1RL
