  • Prospects is a website which has fantastic free tips around creating CV’s Cover Letters and Interview Preparation. Although primarily focused on people in university these tools can be used by anybody. For those who have done specific training there are also tools to help you discover where your education can take you in terms of employment – options you may not have even thought of before!

  • National Careers Service is another great resource to help you along all stages of the employment. There is a skills checker where you can take an assessment to see what your skills are, where your aptitudes are and then point you in the direction of strengths and development catered to your personal answers – whilst giving potential career options. They offer support with CV’s, Cover Letters, applications, including graduate schemes. In addition, there’s a great section you can use to get tips on progressing your career if you are already in work.

  • BBC Bitesize Careers Aimed at School Leavers BBC Bitesize offers great advice for people of any age around finding the right path for you – explores apprenticeships, college, and university, whilst also offering advice around CV’s, Job Applications, and Interviews. In addition, there is information about different career paths, different jobs and what they involve and advice about where your interests might take you.
