Umbrella Yoga are a Kirklees based, not-for-profit organisation that brings communities together through accessible yoga, particularly for people with additional mental and physical needs.
Kirklees Employment Service have been extremely fortunate in forming a partnership with the Umbrella Yoga Team, and we host their amazing sessions through our Peer Support Service. Umbrella Yoga have said the following about our Partnership:
A colleague of mine set up a partnership with the Richmond Fellowship to provide accessible yoga classes in the centre of Huddersfield. The initial set up had taken place prior to my involvement, but this was not a problem. From my first contact, I found Karl extremely easy to communicate with and felt at ease, knowing that everything was organised well. Karl had gathered a number of interest participants and communicated with them prior to our first session. His colleague Ziona provided support and took a register at every session, and if Ziona was not available, Karl or another colleague would step in. This helped the smooth running of the sessions.
I think that the students benefitted from these classes being well organised and supported. This helped them to feel at ease. The sessions were thoroughly enjoyable to teach and I look forward to working with the Richmond Fellowship again in the future. I cannot rate them highly enough.
